Our story

The name Sprout & Stillness reflects the essence of our approach to movement and mindfulness. 'Sprout' represents new beginnings, growth, and transformation—just as we grow stronger in body and mind through practice. 'Stillness' symbolizes mindfulness, grounding, and the ability to find peace in the present moment. Together, they embody the balance between strength and serenity, movement and mindfulness, growth and reflection. This philosophy is at the heart of every class, creating a space where you can evolve while staying deeply connected to yourself.

Sprout & Stillness was created from Sonia’s dedication to supporting growth through mindful movement. With 13 years of experience as a Montessori teacher, Sonia has always focused on nurturing self-awareness and emotional growth. After becoming a certified yoga teacher, Sonia continued her education by pursuing her 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training, where she has already completed her kids yoga certification and is currently studying trauma-informed yoga and yoga therapy.

Sonia holds a corporate yoga certification, enabling her to bring the benefits of yoga into corporate environments. Her approach to teaching blends the mindfulness and self-reflection principles of Montessori with the transformative power of yoga and Pilates. Each class is thoughtfully tailored to support physical strength, emotional resilience, and a deeper connection to the body and mind.
